God has made it impossible for us to discover all the wonders that science is trying to decipher such as:
1. Quantum tunneling.
2. If there is life out there other than here on Earth.
3. Why we exist.
We we see in everyday life is God's magic which does not need science to explain. If we were ever to know all the secrets then the world would end... because we are all sinners. Am I right?

You are absolutely right because God is the one who made everything and give it to man to take control of it, so whatever is done by man is out of his knowledge and own will. Even those scientist it is God who gave them that knowledge if you look at it deeply you can see that man were given the knowledge everything except that they can't create a human being and man can only be born, this made it clear that it is God's will for a man to discover something because he is the one incharge.

seems like the cheap way out, to point to a phenomena that is not completely understood, and exclaim, "God!!" doesn't it?

imagine if you took a tv or a cellphone back to galileo. at first, he'd be astounded, and might think (and not without good reason) that he was seeing something supernatural, that could only be the work of God. But with proper explanation, a smart man like galileo would eventually be able to understand the workings of advanced objects. I don't see any reason why that can't be the case with the things you mentioned.

quantum tunnelling does not really need to be 'deciphered.' even though QM is an incomplete theory, it explains tunnelling pretty exactly: it's all probability.

it's certainly NOT impossible to discover life elsewhere. What will you say if we find a signal from a faraway star or even microorganisms in the oceans of Europa?

and as for Why, well, Why is just a word. Why doesn't need any explaining. Why is a concept that humans invented. Why is there a galaxy 700 kpc from us? Why do quarks have charge?

they just do/there just is. there is no why.

The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle asserts that it's impossible for an omniscient god to exist, so if you're going to use quantum mechanics you have to find a way around that.

I think quantum mechanics is probably the best evidence against god yet. Quantum tunneling in particular. This is a real, viable way for the universe to come into existence without a creator.

"3. Why we exist."

What evidence do you have that says we exist for a reason?

terenceloughran:

"because although we can know and discover many things, some lie outside of our ability to fully understand them."

Us not being able to understand something is in no way, shape or form evidence that god exists. There's nothing that says an entity HAS to exist that understands everything, and again, if you accept quantum then you accept Heisenberg which says it's IMPOSSIBLE for an entity to exist that knows everything.

You are quite wrong.

1. Explained by quantum mechanics.

2. Who says this will never be discovered? It is quite possible we can discover if there is life out there with technology in the very near future.

3. Does there need to be a reason why we exist? No, there doesn't. Science can explain how we exist, but reason? There doesn't need to be reason in everything. Humans want to find reason in everything, so we can be reassured that we're not an insignificant part of the universe. This search for reason is man's insecurity. This is how religion came to be, to give reason for everything. God was created by man to be the reason for the unexplained, to reassure us that we have a purpose.

And what do you mean the world will end because we're all sinners for discovering all the secrets? Are you saying that knowledge will make God destroy us? No need for that, because if we are destroyed, it will be us that do it. No god needed.

Nothing of what you said is proof that there is a god. If you want to give proof of a god, please show me physical proof of him/her/it, not unrelated hypotheses.

Thats no proof at all. Thats a theory, religion is a load of words put on paper by a bunch of men back when they still thought the world was flat and they didnt need to bathe. Oh yes, I really think we should beleive that some random man created the world, it was just their way of explaiining everything because they didnt have science like ours. Science is a fact, religion is ancient oppinion.

I am a scientist, who is also believes in God. I don't find the two to be incompatible. Where I do take issue, is with the idea that God deliberately makes it too difficult for us to understand. I believe He set the original parameters for the Universe, and is happy for us to find our own way through it. If that means an explanation of Jesus' statement "In my Fathers house are many mansions" is that there are other civilizations in the Universe, so be it. If God wanted to make a Universe just for us to play in, I doubt he would have needed to make it so large and so complex. There is certainly room in it for other intelligences! Oh, and quantum tunneling is well understood. Try to get hold of a book called "Schroedinger's Cat" by John Gribbin.

If I had evidence that once objectively analyzed pronounced that a god existed, i might post it in creditable journals for peer overview. If it handed this try, i might post it to the final public. the element right that's that i does no longer place self assurance in my subjective interpretation yet i might seek for purpose overview and criticism from different professionals interior the sector with a view to be sure in spite of I had got here upon. Edit: If I had got here upon "evidence" or evidence, then that should needless to say be waiting to be objectively shown by utilising others. Granted, this could be a protracted and arduous technique, even with the incontrovertible fact that that is greater suitable to truly understand that the "evidence" is genuine and shown than to flow off and convince human beings of something that may no longer real -- smart layout includes ideas as a stable occasion of this.

I have myself thought that quantum mechanics points to God, because although we can know and discover many things, some lie outside of our ability to fully understand them. I think you could be right.

Bsst wrong

1. Quantum tunneling is explained by the theory of quantum mechanics.

2. Life beyond earth would neither confirm nor deny the existence of God.

3. Last time I checked there is no proof for any kind of reason we exist. If there is a reason for our existence, I don't know what it is and neither is there any proof for it.

God exists beyond the universe. The universe is expandin, and no one knows why and what power is driving that expansion. But I know that the power is god!

IF we are inadequate to the environment in which

we are supposedly placed, how is this a proof of GOD?

Seems more like a criticism to me.

No. You are wrong on more counts than I care to discuss. Sorry.

Your question should have had about 9 more question marks.

I would suggest that your first good step would be to learn what the word "proof" means.

I am sorry for you that your god created you too stupid to understand difficult scientific principles. Not one single thing you mentioned points in anyway to god.

theories will always be made up to try and prove or disprove religions. your belief in religion should be based on faith theirs many stories in the bible that touch on this. i like your studying though
