It is material that is theorized to exist out of ignorance for why galaxies are able to behave with the rotation patterns that we observe them to have. The deal is, of all material we can detect by other means (stars, dust lanes, stellar remnants, etcetera), it isn't enough to explain what keeps the outer rims of galaxies from drifting away.

Without expecting a need to modify Newton's law of gravity, the only logical explanation is that there is more material than that of which we are aware by other means. Some kind of material that doesn't participate in any way-shape-or-form with electromagnetism, otherwise we'd know of its existence by the light it either emits or blocks.

Dark matter is our name for this mystery material. Other people might prefer the term "dark gravity" as an alternative, since it doesn't necessarily need to be due to matter.

For the solar system, there needs not to be any dark matter for it to function the way we observe it to do. All of your human body weight can be explained by the completely ordinary matter that is under your feet. The trajectory of every planet in the solar system can be explained completely by the amount of ordinary matter in the sun, all of which shows evidence in both its own stellar behavior and in its gravitational influence on the planets. It is when you look at galaxies at whole, that you get the dark matter problem. Even our own galaxy has this problem.

It's just one of the terms given to a phenomena we have no explanation for. eg. dark matter, dark energy, the great attractor, a singularity, quantum entanglement, etc, etc, I don't think anyone really believes there is an enormous amount of invisible material spread throughout the universe. It would be right in our back yard also, wreaking havoc on our local space. There is more likely a mistake in the estimated number of stars that are visible or some other simple explanation.

women: - Lydia - Annabel (Yeah, ok, possibly it does not sound dark before everything yet I observed the call Edgar and thoughtt of Poe's poem "Annabel Lee", that's a dismal albeit alluring poem) - Lenore ( yet another one from Poe's poem, "The Raven") - Jezebel (After the evil queen in the Bible) - Eva Boys: - Jack - Hugo - Jasper - Bram - Victor i'm hoping I helped relatively, solid success alongside with your tale. :)

It is an invisible component of the universe. tests show that galaxy's black holes do not actually have enough gravity to hold all their stars together, and light from distant stars can sometimes appear warped. why? Dark Matter. It has extra gravity that holds galaxies together, and can warp light, yet it is invisible, and scientists still have not found a way to detect it because so far, we don't know what it reacts to.... but they know it must be there because of it's gravity. people think there is nothing in empty space, but they are wrong. matter is not the only thing around. the whole universe is made of different 'things'. Matter, dark matter, and dark energy, are the 3 that we have identified so far

The definition of Dark Matter is a form of MASS that emits little or NO LIGHT but whose existence we infer from its gravitational influence.

So Dark Matter is simply "stuff" that we cannot see out in space, but we know it has to be there because there is a lot of evidence that says it should. We don't know what it is. But, it represents around 90% of all the mass of the universe. We don't know much about it aside from that it is out there and there is a lot of it.

Dark matter does NOT PUSH. Dark ENERGY is the force pushing the universe apart. Dark MATTER is substance that we only know is there because of its gravity. It does not emit radiation and it is completely invisible. It does not react when anything comes into contact with it. The only reason we know its there is because of the presence of its gravity.

Dark Matter is other universes' shadow images poking into ours.

We know that other universes are a mathematical certainty. At the very large scale, we can actually detect them.

gravity moves freely between parallel universes, possibly

soooo...dark matter is simply gravity from other universes protrudung into ours

Gravity is the pull. Dark matter is the push. Dark Matter is like asking a fish about water (i imagine).

Fish don't know they're in water.

If you tried to explain it, they'd say, “Water? What's water?”

They're so surrounded by it, that it's impossible to see.

They can't see it until they get outside of it.

It's the matter that pushes the universe apart, aside from that, I don't know.

It's stuff in space that we can't see. We are only aware of it because of its gravity. That's all I know about it.

Uniontera number 11-1, hope it helps. This is your so-called dark matter.

Existence is the time expressed by light itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN1jTwHUC7E

1. When same times met ... Arrow A (Cause of Laser / Origin of Death / Reason of Chemical reaction)

2. When different times met ... Arrow B (This is your so-called "Gravity" / Cause of Higgs boson / Origin of Life / Reason of Biological reaction)

3. The rose line is the beginning light. (result from Genesis 1:3)

4. The existence of different time. (result from relativity of light)

5. 2 dimension is not a space. (result from 2-axis, math)

6. Universe came from nothing. (result from No.5 / cf. Playing with bubbles)

6-1. A barrier[posititon] exist between the inner and outer bubbles. But universe do not have that barrier. (Cause of Inertia / Reason of Sun / Position of Antimatter / Origin of Fire / cf. Expansion, Conservation of parity, Time-reversal invariance)

6-2. Nothing is not a no existence. No existence is a zero dimension. There is two zero dimension. One has a position. The other doesn't have a position. These different positions were connected by something. That "something" is not a what but a way. (Cause of Light / cf. Ether)

7. Progress / Event / Probability is a time. (This is my trinity.)

8. Wave-particle duality of light, creation & evolution, uncertainty principle, etc. (result from No.7)

9. Coalescing of different times. (Cause of Rotation & Spin / Equator has plenty of time. / Origin of Colour / Reason of Reflection / cf. Strong interaction)

10. Your so-called "Black hole" is a wholly condensed time. (cf. Kerr spacetime)

11. The reason of your so-called "Magnetic field". (result from step3 and 4)

11-1. The reason of your so-called "Dark matter". (result from step3 to 4 / Energy-Mass duality / cf. Dark energy "step4 to 3")

12. The reason of your so-called "Electric field". (result from the crack of time / Same time's crack is a different time's connection. / Cause of Static electricity)

13. Your so-called "Space" is a crack of time. (result from No.12 / Cause of Lightning / Reason of Refraction / cf. Weak interaction)

13-1. The reason of your so-called "Capture & Decay". (result from No.13's crack of time / cf. Violation of time-reversal invariance)

13-2. The reason of No.6-2's "position & none position". (result from No13-1's "capture & decay")

13-3. The reason of No.13's space. (result from No.13-2's "position & none position" / cf. Noneconservation of parity)

14. Boundary is a crack of space. (result from No.13 / Same space's crack is a different time's contact. / Cause of Superfluid / cf. Fractal)

15. Boundary is nothing. Your so-called "Hole" is a boundary itself. Also, nothing is K=0 temperature. (result from No.14 / cf. Calabi-Yau, Hilbert space)

16. This is a wall of your so-called "Fire". (result from No.15) - copyright ⓒ uniontera

Our nonsense has come from one time. Uniontera is a key.

English is not my first language, sorry!

If it is difficult to understand, just remember & enjoy "Hand touching everything is a time". This is the only one result of uniontera.
