Crackpots, hoaxers, and the scientifically impaired predict doomsday. Scientists predict that 2012 will be just another ordinary year with its fair share of natural disasters, as with any year. There isn't an iota of evidence to suggest otherwise. My money is on the scientists.

If you are referring to the huge pile of reeking pig manure that is the "end of the world" hoax, not ONE SINGLE claim has any scientific evidence to support it.

Planet-X will fail to show up, just as it failed to show up on May 13, 2003; it will be a great dry run for the next time it fails to show up... in September 2020.

In 2019, your son will post a question about what do we people predict happening in 2020.

Our answer then will probably include the next date for the Big Hoax.

Since the fake predictions are not made by we people, that is about all we will do.

Some really cool books are coming out next year.

There's the London Olympics with all those 10 year old Chinese gymnasts claiming to be 42.

The US will have a mud-slinging contest they call a "Presidential Election". I rather hope there won't be any Bush's running, but you never know.

When 2012 is over, all the dunces that have been rising up to oppose common sense will have to find a new hobby. Maybe they will take up knitting.

The Mayan calendar ends a long cycle on that specific date. It heralds humanities entry into a new age of mental awareness. It was not meant to be a doomsday warning. Be aware that the various disaster predictions could happen at ANY time anyhow, and are not linked to this date.

No apocalypse? No Armageddon? That's because astronomers aren't predicting anything like that. Who are you going to believe: scientists or people trying to sell you books, TV shows, and movies?

At this point, I hope the world does come to an end.

The only way these idiots will quit predicting the end of the world is if it really happens.

i don't believe the world will come to an end not after all these years.

Many say the world is ending, but I don't think so. If they can bearly predict the weather, how could they predict the end of the world.

Riots, many scared people, etc. And I do not believe 2012 is the end.

A slightly shambolic London Olympics, and a collection of bad summer blockbusters.

The End - it's going to be great.

Most of the people who hang out here on on almost daily basis are sick and tired of answering all the 2012 questions without getting nasty and insulting.

It's a hoax.
