im not asking ANYTHING about 2012. im just curious as to which planets are lining up and when they are lining up. i think I THINK NOT COMPLETELY SURE that i read somewhere that sometime this year that the planets that rule the astrological earth signs will align. (saturn, venus, mercury).

March 13th Venus and Jupiter 3° apart

November 27th Venus and Saturn within 1° of each other

That's all I could find for 2012

An "alignment" is not the same thing as a "conjunction". If you wanted to know about conjunctions, you should have used that word from the beginning.

As another answer suggests, there is an alignment of Mercury and Venus this year. That is because you can draw a straight line from Mercury to Venus. And also a straight line from Venus to Earth. And a line from Venus to Jupiter. Let me see, what else ... there is a line from Jupiter to Mars, Mars to Mercury, Neptune to Mars, Saturn to Pluto, Ceres to Mercury. Oh my, it looks like you could draw a line from ANY planet to ANY other planet. And you could do this for any day of the year, in fact for any year, any time. Guess that "alignments" aren't so special after all. Well, that's the way the earth signs go.

Alignments? I dont know.

But Venus and Jupiter will be in CONJUNCTION. 2nd week of march, western horizon, after sunset.

This new moon cycle will have a nice Venus/Moon conjunction, and a Jupiter/moon conjunction.

If all this question was about was astronomical events, I highly recommend buying Astronomy magazine, or Sky & Telescope, or either one of their websites.

I find them very helpful for these events.

As a matter of fact, the S&T website was where I found out about Jupiter/Venus conjunction.

There are no planets that "rule the astrological earth signs". The rules are made up by people selling "hope" to the pathetic. Many of the rules were made up a long time ago. So long ago that the Sun is no longer even within the boundaries of the zodiac sign that they are attributed in astrology. When I was born the Sun was smack in the middle of Leo but I'm a Virgo according to the astrologer of 2500 years ago and to this day. The real stars have nothing to say about it. Go figure.

But the new generations of astrologers never look up because they wouldn't know what to look for. They look down at their magic charts incanting the nonsense that they have discovered releases the most money form the clutches of the gullible. Don't let that be you.

You can use the link below to type in any date you want (past, present, or future) and see the position of the planets. As you can see there is no "alignment" in 2012 at all. In fact a true "alignment" of the planets in our solar system is physically impossible. All our planets are on different orbital planes. You may be referring to a conjunction, which is just when planets APPEAR close to each other in the sky. Those are pretty common.

on March 13th Jupiter and Venus will conjoin, that means Jupiter, Venus and Earth will align.

Look out for it, it will be quite obvious in the western sky

Tomorrow night, earth will align individually with mars, as well as Venus, and mercury and Jupiter and Saturn and Uranus and Neptune. No wonder 2012 is so special. Oh and the sun, the galaxy M81, the globular cluster M5, and M31. AMAZING! We will also align with the galactic center, and every galactic center in the universe, as well as the edges
