The moon was created when an astriod hit the earth and bounced off. Because of that, everything is balanced and made it habitable for human beings, animals, and tall trees, etc.
They say if there wasn't a moon- life would be completly different. We would be short and stout to be able to survive the heavy winds and we would have 8 hours of sunlight and 4 hours of darkness considering the earth rotated a lot faster.
I learned this watching a bunch of YouTube videos about the earth and the moon.
I later came to a couple questions.
1) Was there a possibility that maybe there was life on earth before anything like dinosaurs, tall trees, humans, etc?
2) What would we have to do to figure that out?
3) If we later found out there was life on earth before everything we know about today about earth's past with some research, could that change how we run things today?
