Question:
Life on earth before the moon?
2015-09-04 05:44:15 UTC
Before the moon, the earth was an "alien planet" according to scientists.

The moon was created when an astriod hit the earth and bounced off. Because of that, everything is balanced and made it habitable for human beings, animals, and tall trees, etc.

They say if there wasn't a moon- life would be completly different. We would be short and stout to be able to survive the heavy winds and we would have 8 hours of sunlight and 4 hours of darkness considering the earth rotated a lot faster.

I learned this watching a bunch of YouTube videos about the earth and the moon.

I later came to a couple questions.

1) Was there a possibility that maybe there was life on earth before anything like dinosaurs, tall trees, humans, etc?

2) What would we have to do to figure that out?

3) If we later found out there was life on earth before everything we know about today about earth's past with some research, could that change how we run things today?

The "Giant Impact Theory" is the current theory that most believe on how the moon came to be. But the theory is that it happened sometime in the first 100 million years (4.5 billion years ago) of the solar system, and life would very likely not have began yet. Life started on Earth about a billion years after that (3.6 billion years ago).

"[Without the moon] We would be short and stout to be able to survive the heavy winds and we would have 8 hours of sunlight and 4 hours of darkness considering the earth rotated a lot faster."

This is assuming that intelligent life would take hold. It's very unlikely to happen without the moon. One of the things the moon does is stabilize the wobble of the axis of the planet, which stabilizes the seasons we have. Life formed where it did, and evolve over time based on the climate in that area. With a large wobble, the climate changes all over, and evolution would have a very hard time keeping up. Life that had evolved in a warmer climate would not have much chance to survive when the climate turns cold at that location. And even though humans are very resilient and have spread out all over the planet, in heat, cold, dry, wet, and all other climates, not all our evolutionary ancestors are so resilient, and likely may have died out with the changes in climate.

And the amount of day/night would not be steady at 8/4. Just as it does today, it would depend on where on the planet you are. Some places might be 8/4, some might be 6/6, and some might be 12/0 or 0/12, all depending on the time of the year, and tilt of the Earth's axis at that time (which would change from the wobble).

Whatever "caused" the Moon to become a satellite of Earth, happened well before any life had a chance to occur.

In any case, the event (using any one of the 4 possible scenarios, or a combination) would have been so dramatic as to erase any trace of life that could have existed before.

Life (at least, the cycle in which we are) began a billion years or two ago, under the bottom of seas and oceans.

The presence of the Moon becomes important only half-a-billion years ago as multi-cell life began. By providing large tides (and, therefore, an inter-tidal region on the shores), the presence of the Moon forced rapid evolution of multi-cellular life forms: those that could not adapt to rapidly changing conditions were doomed, while only the stronger "fast-adaptors" survived the transition from water to land.

Without the Moon, there were still some tides (caused by the Sun) but much smaller. Evolution would have still happened, but much slower.

THAT (forcing rapid adaptation and evolution) was the main contribution of the Moon.

1. There was life on Earth well before dinosaurs and trees and humans. However, the Moon was already around much before that.

2. We have pretty well figured out what existed (on a large scale, not in detail) up to the start of uni-cellular life. However, if there was a gap, and there had existed some life-forms before the start of OUR cycle, then we have not found any sign of it (at least not yet). And yes, some people are looking for that.

3. No.

Before you start accepting rubbish off YouTube, you need to find out who scientists are.

We don't actually know how the moon came about. The asteroid theory is one. Alternatives are that it is accumulated debris that failed to consolidate with the Earth when the solar system developed. However it came about, it was long before there was any life on Earth.

Without the moon, there would be no tides. Many animals and plants also rely on variations in gravity caused by the moon. However, there is no reason to believe that life would not have developed. Life adapts to its environment through the process of evolution and if the environment had been different (no moon, two moons) life may well have been different.

From the time that the Earth first formed, to the time that Theia hit it and formed the moon, was only about 100 million years. That's almost certainly not long enough for life to start, especially when you consider what Earth was like back then. There was a lot of molten rock, with big asteroids frequently smashing in from space. Any pre-life molecules that formed would have been vaporized before they could advance to life.

And if life *did* get started, it would have been very primitive -- something like slime molds, blue-green algae, or stromatolites. But still, it is very unlikely that any life could get started until Earth cooled down below boiling. Then when Theia hit, it would have turned the entire surface molten, to a depth of many tens of kilometers (mostly likely 100's of km).

Before humans went to the moon we wanted to do it. Now it's off our bucket list.

Life on earth before the moon? Most thoughts and dreams are from demons; demons never do good. Sleep fully clothed; pray the Jesus prayer; talk to your local Orthodox Christian priest. Pray to your guardian angel to have normal sleep. Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov was the last prophet before Enoch and Elijah return to preach against the antichrist. According to Russian Orthodox Christian Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov: Humans were created about 7525 years ago.

Birds participate in time creation. It's a sin to kill birds. Dinosaurs live under our level. They will get out through sinkholes and lakes. To kill them, go for their nerves. Save the birds; but kill the dinosaurs. First dinosaur will come out of Volga River in Russia. Demons grow human skin (from a sample taken during abduction) and put it on so as to look like us. Demons will invite people to be healed inside their UFOs; those who go will be like zombies after. Gov't provides demons with diamonds and allows demons to abduct people. If you're being abducted, slowly pray the Jesus prayer: "Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."

Don't panic. Demons use diamonds and souls to power their UFO craft. The bigger the diamond, the more it lasts. Demons have 4 UFO bases: 1)Moon 2)Inside fake mountain Kailash in Tibet 3)In lake Baikal in Russia 4)In Atlantis which is underneath the Mariana Trench in Pacific Ocean. There are no aliens. Nobody lives on other planets. Airplanes that go down are hit by demons because they need the airspace to fight Jesus. Antichrist is pale with red eyes. He's possessed by Satan since he's 12 years old. He flies. He wears gloves to hide long nails. He's surrounded by demons who appear as angels of light.

Don't go into a UFO to be healed by demons. 666 is given by isotope rays on wrist or forehead when people stretch hands to receive small plastic grey card with no name on it (World Passport). Police will microchip and isotope ray people on highways. Food stores will isotope ray people too. Antichrist will also release prisoners to mark people. Reject 666 at all cost. If you're about to be marked, pray the Jesus prayer. Hide with Orthodox Christians to escape 666; leave all electronics behind so that antichrist's minions can't track you. Give to charity in the name of Archangel Michael; he rescues people from hell twice a year (or brings them up a level, that is, to a level with less punishment; eventually, people are freed). Feed the pigeons; when pigeons bow down, people are saved from hell. Forgive me.

Instead of watching YouTube videos, try reading books.
