What's wrong with "The barred spiral galaxy usually has two spiral arms that are linked to the galaxy's nucleus by bars." Do "normal" spiral galaxies usually have more than two arms? Yes, but is that critical to the "barred" status? Might not the "more spherical nuclear bulge" have more to do with the angle we see the galaxy from?

The nucleus of a barred spiral galaxy has these bar things, right? Does that make the nucleus less spherical?

barred spiral - the hands of the galaxy do no longer spiral each and each of ways into the midsection, yet are related to the two ends of a at present bar of stars containing the nucleus at its midsection. elliptical - Elliptical galaxies are very distinct from spiral galaxies in shape and stellar inhabitants. Elliptical galaxies are around to elongated egg-shaped collections of stars. Elliptical galaxies incorporate as a rule inhabitants II sort stars and little to no gas or dirt. famous person formation isn't occurring in elliptical galaxies. lenticular - lenticular galaxies are disc galaxies (like spiral galaxies) that have used up or lost maximum of their interstellar count and as a result have little or no ongoing famous person formation well-known galaxy - those in lots of situations teach alluring and conspicuous types interior the kind of spiral hands and/or luminous bars.
