I know that Nasa did not invent the MRI but it did help.

Aspects of space exploration did contribute to the development of both CAT and MRI equipment, mainly image processing and plain old number crunching, but the way you phrased the question suggests you may be assuming a greater involvement by the work of NASA and ESA than is the case, the space agencies (especially NASA) really did help enormously with imaging ssytems and dealing with outrageous amounts of data which all went to prove that fairly compact systems of body scanning and imaging were being made available, to be honest the first of these systems were a bit on the large and heavy side, not that compact!

"CAT scans and MRIs. These devices are used by hospitals to see inside the human body. Their development would not have been possible without the technology provided by NASA after it found a way to take better pictures of the Earth’s moon."

The major contribution is the improvement of computer speed. Without high speed computers MRI and CT would be impossible. The exams require a massive amount of calculations and reformatting.
