These are the next ten total solar eclipses that can be seen in the Midwest:
1. 21 August 2017: the total eclipse will be seen in Missouri and Nebraska as well as southern Illinois, northeastern Kansas and a very tiny area southwest of Iowa close to the border with Missouri and Nebraska.
2. 8 April 2024: the total eclipse will be seen in Ohio as well as southern Illinois, southern Indiana, southeastern Missouri and a small are southeast of Michigan close to Toledo.
3. 23 August 2044: the total eclipse will be seen in northwestern North Dakota and a tiny area northwest of South Dakota close to the border with Montana and North Dakota.
4. 12 August 2045: the total eclispe will be seen in southwestern Kansas and a small area southwest of Missouri close to the border with Arkansas and Oklahoma.
5. 14 September 2099: the total eclipse will be seen in Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin as well as northeastern Illinois, northeastern Indiana, southern Michigan and a small area northeast of South Dakota close to the border with Minnesota and North Dakota.
6. 3 May 2106: the total eclipse will be seen in Minnesota and South Dakota as well as northwestern Michigan, northwestern Nebraska and northwestern Wisconsin.
7. 26 October 2144: the total eclipse will be seen in northern Michigan, northeastern Minnesota and a small area of Wisconsin on Washington Island.
8. 17 October 2153: the total eclipse will be seen in Illinois, Indiana and North Dakota as well as northeastern Iowa, southwestern Minnesota, northeastern South Dakota and southwestern Wisconsin.
9. 25 June 2169: the total eclipse will be seen in southwestern Kansas.
10. 16 June 2178: the total eclipse will be seen in Iowa and South Dakota as well as westerm Illinois, southwestern Minnesota, northeastern Missouri, northeastern Nebraska and southwestern North Dakota.

6. 14 October 2023: annular eclipse that will be seen as partial in the Midwest with magnitude ranging from 30% at Drummond Island in Michigan to 81% in southwestern Kansas.
7. 8 April 2024: in addition to the total eclipse seen in the Midwest as mentioned above, other parts of the region will see a partial eclipse that will go as low as 45% in northwestern North Dakota.
8. 12 August 2026: total eclipse that will be seen as partial in northeastern parts of the Midwest with magnitude reaching a maximum of 8% close to Sault Sainte Marie in northern Michigan.
9. 26 January 2028: annular eclipse that will be seen as partial in most of the Midwest except border areas between Minnesota and Ontario with magnitude reaching a maximum of 8% in southwestern Kansas.
10. 14 January 2029: partial eclipse with magnitude ranging from 48% in southern Ohio to 75% in northwestern North Dakota.
