If anyone has ever watched the nasa channel maybe you could explain this to me. since there is no gravity, things float right? well yesterday i noticed that the guys on there, their hair doesn't stand up or anything. Same thing with their shirt collars and everything. I did notice that the cord attached to the microphone was floating. Thank you in advanced. : D

Things that are stiff or sticky stay put. This includes clothing, hair (after a couple of days :-), and other things.



I've seen footage of some of the women astronauts hamming up with clouds of hair around them. Look for pictures or video of Judith Resnick on STS-41-D, for example.

To a certain extent the flip answer is correct, but a more logical explanation is that the male astronauts use the equivalent of Brylcreem.
