NASA scientists went to school for years to learn about this stuff. You can't even form a coherent sentence. You're ignorant of astronomy, physics, and orbital mechanics. All very complex fields of study. Much more complex than the English language, which you fail at. So how dare you question their integrity when they've dedicated their lives to this when you were dumbing yourself down on American Idol or whatever retarded TV show you were watching. All the sudden you hear a doomsday scenario and you're an expert to the point of calling top astronomers and scientists liars or quacks. You think you can just jump into the discussion without any credibility on this subject. Infuriating.

Believe what you want, but PX/Nibiru was supposed to be here in 1999, 2001, 2003, and recently 2009. People are now saying this thing will be undeniable by Sept. 25th and 26th. If it no shows, AGAIN, it will be the fifth time someone cried wolf about it and got gullible people like you all worked up over nothing. December 2012 is the latest prediction for a fly by. And when it doesn't come then? The rumors and fear mongering won't stop. Because you people don't think it terms of science, you think it terms of magic. Where massive bodies can just pass in and out of our solar system and yet this tiny planet remains in our solar system and right in the goldylocks zone, no less. I bet you don't even know what that is, do you? No one can help you understand because it's so far over your head you'd probably think it's a eagle. Or a dragon. You strike me as a person that might still give credence to that little bit of myth and superstition.

You might think I'm being hard on you. Truth is, I'm being a lot nicer than I should be.

Elenin is a small comet.

There is no Nibiru.

No.

And to the poster above calling people "paid shills". That's typical of people that have made this into a religion. Earthquakes have nothing to do with the alignment of planets and natural disasters have always occurred. Some years are worse than others. He calls people paid shills but what's his pay off? Again, the same tactics were used in 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2009 leading up to the supposed arrival dates. We "shills" are still waiting for apologies for that, but all we get are new dates for this mythical star/planet to appear and more baseless accusations.

Don't listen to the paid shills that post in every Elenin thread telling you not to worry. Despite all the wild coincidences that would take 30 pages to document, that dirty little iceball consists of no water at all.

American radio astronomers report that did not detect any water coming from any remains of comet Elenin. Amy Lovell observed it for 7 hours on Sept 7 using the Green Bank Telescope (it is not yet in the Arecibo declination window) and did not detect any OH line above the noise level of 2.4 mJy

This is a very unusual object and something everyone should be concerned about.

Just in the last 20 days there have been 15 significant earthquakes listed by the USGS, there were 5 in July, only 2 in June, only 3 in May, and in April there were 4.

This is the same type of Earthquake activity that led to the March 11 japan quake when Elenin last aligned with the Sun and the Earth.

She lines up inside the Earth and the SUn on 9/26-9/27, and goes through a 6 month cycle where she has several alignments.

You should be prepared. It couldn't hurt even if nothing happens, but if something does happen you can blame the top contributors who have done virtually no research on the subject, but manage to post in every Elenin question.

Elenin is real. Nibiru is not real.

BOTH planets and comets slow down and speed up at points in their orbits, but only by a very small amount, comets more so than planets. NASA can say Elenin is no threat to Earth for a very simple reason: Elenin is NO THREAT to Earth. It's going to miss Earth by 22 million miles. What could be clearer than that?

Well, ...,

1) Comet Elenin - Is a not an isuue as the comet began to break-up last week as it rounded the Sun (http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=30&month=08&year=2011). Had it not broken-up it still would have been a non-issue as it would have been ~22,000,000 miles from earth at it's closest pass (See: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.cfm?release=2011-135 and http://www.space.com/12653-comet-elenin-earth-threat-nasa-answers.html). We have had many comets pass much closer than that without any detriment to the earth. Earth even passed directly through the tail of Halley's comet in 1910. Halley's comet was ~1.3 million miles away from earth on the 1910 approach and no harm came to the world at all (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halley's_Comet).

2) Nibiru ... Simply put: Does not exist and is a complete hoax. Current notions about Nibiru are utter fabrications that have been retold over and over again by televised media and "doomsday" websites for shock value and revenue generation. Basically, the "if it bleeds it leads" mentality makes money for those sites and media outlets and people eat it up with a spoon as though it were fact. None of the many coordinates that have been published by "self proclaimed experts" point to anything meaningful or they point to well known stars or planets that have already been discovered and are already in stable orbits. Those sites and networks feed on the public's ignorance of the night sky.

Anyone who studies or observes the night sky and understands the movement of stars and planets can readily recognize the hoax. It's like when a cop watches "CSI" or a doctor watches "Grey's Anatomy"; the fanciful tales told on those episodes would make any doctor or cop laugh because the results and methodologies are so ridiculous. Yet nobody cries "cover-up" or "conspiracy" when their fallacies are exposed. In fact, many people honestly approach those actors and actresses in real life asking for medical or legal advice. We laugh when that happens but the unfortunate truth is that many people today cannot tell fact from fiction and this is especially true when a respected organization like a "televised information channel" produces episodes that imply Nibiru exits but has been "covered up".

However, there is no cover up, with 1000's of amateur and professional astronomers, robotic telescopes, and space based telescopes all over the world scanning the heavens 24 / 7 looking in every direction and sector for anomalies in the night sky, no one has found it. Yet we have discovered and observed over 1241 near earth asteroids, asteroid and cometary impacts on Jupiter, aurora and lightning on Jupiter, numerous comets, 400+ extra-solar planets, and much, much more. If Nibiru really existed it would have been discovered long ago and no amount of government "cover-up" could have silenced the overwhelming discovery and validation by the global astronomical community. Additionally, if it did exist and were on course for a 2012 rendezvous with Earth it would already be in our solar system now and as bright as the planet Mars in the night sky and lie somewhere between the orbits of Jupiter, Mars or Earth headed towards the Sun. No one could deny it because it would be right there for everyone to see. However, the bottom line is it simply doesn't exist.

Elenin is real but dont believe it has any threat to earth.

Nibiru i dont believe is real.

They arent the same thing. Elenin is a comet and Nibiru is a made up planet that doesnt exist.

Comet Elenin is just what the name suggests: a comet. It has nothing whatever to do with 'planet X' or 'Nibiru' or any other such nonsense. Comparing a comet to a planet is like comparing a grain of sand to Mount Everest.

Elenin is a real comet, rather small (and probably breaking apart as we speak), passing very far from Earth. This kind of thing happens at least a dozen times every year. Comet Elenin is, at best, 4 km across, so that there is no way it can affect planets that are a gazillion times the mass of the comet.

[comets, though, have always been popular with charlatans, and it is known that they can be used quite easily to scare the unwashed masses]

Nibiru is a fake planet. It was invented in the 1960s by Zechariah Sitchin for a fake theory he had: we (humans) were created by people from planet Nibiru, to be their slaves and dig for gold, which they need for their survival. In Zechariah's story, the next passage of Nibiru is "scheduled" for the year 2085. When Nibiru passes close to us, it cannot harm us (they need our help for the gold).

Planet-X is a different fake planet. It was invented by Nancy Leider who claims that she was abducted by aliens. These aliens would have told her about a rogue planet that was going to run across our solar system, passing too close to Earth. They gave her the task to warn us so that we could prepare. Even with preparation, over 90% of us would die: global tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, pole flips...

The aliens even gave Nancy the date: May 13, 2003.

"Friends" of Nancy used her story to scare gullible people, then sell them books on how to survive.

After May 2003, they needed a new hoax, so they re-loaded their Planet-X story, use another lie for the date (the end of the Mayan calendar is a lie invented by José Argüelles in 1987), and "improved" their Planet-X by stealing ideas from Zechariah's fake planet.

The rest of the Big 2012 Hoax are fake predictions taken from other hoaxes that were not even meant for 2012 when they were written (for example, the planetary alignment doomsday predictions are from a hoax called The Jupiter Effect, written in 1974, for the real planetary alignment of March 1982).

Elenin is REAL, it is a comet made up of mostly frozen CO2 and it is no threat to earth. It is slowly being disingrated by the solar wind.

Nibiru is a FAKE, HOAX planet dreamed up by Doomsday nuts. Planet X is also FAKE.

This web page will tell you the TRUTH about all the Doomsday nuts.

Nibiru is fake and exists only in the imaginations of crackpots.

Comet Elenin is real but tiny and harmless. NASA say it's no threat to the Earth because...

It's no threat to the Earth.

If the Earth were a sphere 10 feet (3 metres) in diameter, Comet Elenin would be the size of a grain of sand coming no nearer than 6 miles (10 kilometres)

Seriously! How can such a minute speck of cosmic dust affect the Earth at all? Get real.

Will you agree to get sterilized if you are wrong? The average IQ and the quality of life on Earth will improve if you do. I really believe it.

NASA never said it was no threat. Why? Because it doesn't even exist.
