The problem with that is that it would need gravity. Conventionally grown crops would be far easier to support since the soil can be kept in place with mesh or similar. Provided the soil is kept damp rather than soaked there would be no problems with such a system, assuming the plants grow properly in zero-G of course.

Engineering: to maintain the craft working how this is designed to, and to make sure the landing craft will function while it's time to bypass away Mars Astronomy/Astrophysics: to maintain song of the place we are. Navigators/Pilots: to make sure we are the place we are meant to be. they are going to additionally could desire to land and take off. Communications: to make sure Earth is acquainted with we are nonetheless around. Botanists/Agriculturists: to make sure we've sufficient to devour... probable to be a vegetarian undertaking.. Biologists, chemists, and geologists: to let us know what we've stumbled on as quickly as we get there. scientific: wellbeing practitioner, dentist to make sure we arrive and come again healthful. help: (prepare dinner, barber, clerk), So the operational group can attend to their jobs. i assume those duties could desire to be shared by skill of the group-contributors. Mars is a very short holiday as area holiday is going... probable below a twelve months. I doubt they are going to deliver a project to Mars only orbit the planet, or only to land and are available back. and that's going to be slightly harder placing out... we've in no way carried out that from a planet with gravity corresponding to Earth. it will probable be run like the Moon missions. A landing craft would be despatched down from an orbiting command craft. The landing craft would be expendable, and could left in the back of to cut back the gasoline requirement on the return holiday. The command craft will navigate between Earth and Mars. The landing craft would be just to get the missions group right down to the planet and back, and to living house the project group at the same time as on Mars. they could have some sort of tent-like living wherein to do their experiments to cut back an infection by skill of something from Earth. it may be great if the command and project group could desire to alter places to grant one yet another a harm, yet with constrained gasoline, it relatively is not likely. think of of the dimensions of the rocket had to launch an area commute.

There will only be about 6 or 8 people so it wouldn't be worth the weight.

yes that would be the only way to do it. it will be very difficult because of Moisture, High Humidity and Electrical things don't mix well, not to mention the Fungus and Molds that will grow.
