You can buy an acre of land on the moon for $29.99+ from lunarland.com and I wanted to know if they are scamming me out of 30 bucks for a fake deed that says I have an acre of land on the moon or do I legally get some? Thank you for your help!

Only the US government would have the legal right to sell an acre on the Moon, since the Moon belongs to the US.

Read the fine print - the owner must possess *and occupy* the property for a year before it's legally theirs...

It's a scam. No one owns the Moon, so no one can legally sell land there.

Lunarland.com would have to own it first in order for you to buy it from them. Did they say who they bought it from originally? Of course not, because nobody owns land on the moon to begin with.

"Owning" land is only as good as the power to enforce ownership. Just about every government on Earth allows people to use the government's power, to enforce ownership. If somebody trespasses on your land, you can kick them off, and the government will back you up.

On the moon, there is no government that is going to back you up. Not now, and not a hundred years from now. You're on your own. And since you're on your own, why do you need a paper deed?

Tell them you want to see proof of ownership first and that you want them to take you to see your property before you buy.
