Theres a movie called "Dark side of the moon" and it suggests that the moon walk was video taped in a hollywood studio. And other docs saying man never even went to the moon? What is the reality of all this? Is it possible that we did not actually go to the moon? And was it POSSIBLE at that time to even go to the moon, and if so why havent we gone back?

I seriously doubt it.

Think about it.

They "Went To The Moon" in 196..something

over 35 something years later we still with out better understanding of technology and space cannot get back there.

Also.

Space as such as no wind.

Yet the flag was waving as the they were "Dancing" around.

And there are soo many other factors.

I think that we like to believe that we have gone away from this planet.

But as a truth we probably haven't.

But I also have theories on the probabilty of our lives existance.

But im not going into that.

And according to my thoughts, we haven't because of supposed "factual" and my own evidence.

Not that is anything people will believe.

Did you watch the movie all the way to the end? It is a "mockumentary" making fun of the conspiracy theory crowd. A wikipedia entry:

"The tone of the documentary begins with low key revelations of NASA working closely with Hollywood at the time of the Moon landings. Over the course of the tale, Karel postulates that not only did Kubrick help the USA fake the moon landings but that he was eventually killed by the CIA to cover up the truth. First hand testimony backing these claims come from Rumsfeld and Dr. Kissinger, which lend credence to the story.

It is finally revealed that this is a mockumentary as the end credits roll over a montage of blooper reels, with the main participants laughing over the absurdity of their lines or questioning if particular ones would give the joke away too soon. Besides being a comedic documentary, it is also an exercise in Jean Baudrillard's theories of hyperreality."

If you are a math and physics major, maybe you should just follow the suggestions above and send a signal to the moon. Astronomers all over the world watched the moon launch via telescopes and many of them had no interest in the US succeeding. None of the nut cases pushing this argument can refute that these folks all accepted what was in their telescopes - men landing on the moon. By the way, Buzz Aldrin made the news a year or so ago by punching out a guy who suggested he didn't go to the moon, so I don't think he is a good canidate to support your position.

I am not even sure this question is worth answering, since the person asking the question is either trying to have fun by trolling for responses or is so set in his beliefs that the truth and facts will not sway him/her.

Yes we went to the moon and no, Phil Plait of Bad Astronomy is not a moron and he does have good subject knowledge. Of course the person who posted this ridiculous question can only say that is he is a moron with no common sense but does not provide proof or examples.

If you don't like him you can always go to http://www.clavius.org/ for a more in-depth look of debunking the moon landing hoax.

To why we haven't gone back to the moon? The better question is Why should we go back to the moon? It is really expensive. It is extremely risky thing to do and we have already been there. Nothing much left to see, on to the next challenge. There isn't much that a man could do on the moon that a robotic probe can do now.

There are many conspiracy theorists who don't believe that we went to the Moon. They often show pictures that were taken on the moon, and show alleged inconsistencies, but when you look at the photos in detail you find that there aren't any problems.

The reason we do not go back is because it is very expensive, very dangerous, and not particularly profitable towards science.

Perhaps one of the best indicators that the Moon landing was not faked is that the reason for going was to intimidate the USSR. The Soviets would have had every reason to discredit our landing on the moon if it didn't happen. They had very good spies on the ground, and many other ways to verify that we indeed went to the Moon (they had a Lunar program of their own).

If the Soviets had expressed skepticism, I would give the conspiracy theorists more credence, but they didn't.

With regards to Buzz Aldren's comments, you should note that many documentaries take comments out of context and can lead you to misleading conclusions.

Without any doubt whatsoever, they went to the moon, and there is absolute proof that it happened.

So what is this proof?

The Apollo missions left mirrors on the moon. Anyone on Earth - you included, if you have the right precision equipment - can point a laser at one of these mirrors, and about two seconds later, get your laser beam back.

The "Hollywood studio" theory has no answer to this evidence, evidence that any of us can validate for ourselves. A three year physics student would be wise enough to understand that, no matter how interesting the conspiracy theories are and how neat it would be if they were true, the evidence provided by those mirrors is incontrovertible.

I was on the cape itself for the launch of apollo 12 and I saw it go inot space. I beleive that humans have visited the moon, because the technology involved in faking that was -4 the time- beyondf belief. today, a movie could be made that would be more convincing than reality .but not then.

You should check out a book called behold a pale horse. it was written by a former navy espionage agent who says we went to the moon and much much more. and has secret files to prove most of what he says. it will give you great info 4

They absolutely, positively, beyond the shadow of a doubt went to the moon. Check out www.badastronomy.com. The guy who runs the site is a scientist. He explains in detail how to debunk the moon landing hoax conspiracy theorists.

We went to the moon. We'll be going back in a couple decades.

"Dark Side of the Moon" is a music CD by Pink Floyd. You must be thinking of the FOX TV program `Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?''

Grow up,man! You are depending on this so-called "Dark side of the moon" to convince you that we never landed on the moon? Why dont u watch Chicken Run then? After all,it teaches you how to run like chicks...

Your claim to have a minor in physics is obviously a lie since if you did know physics you would understand that the Moon landing did happen.

Personally i doubt it, there is a lot of evidence that shows they may not have gone to the moon .. but why make the biggest fraud in history ..
